Original teaching materials used by the famous Bauhaus master Wassily Kandinsky and his students provide from 25 June until 8 September 2014 at the Bauhaus-Archiv / Museum für Gestaltung information about the teaching methods of the pioneer of abstract art.
When Ida Kerkovius came to the Bauhaus in Weimar she was already 41 years old – a professional painter and master student and assistant to Adolf Hölzel. Under the influence of Kandinsky and Klee she worked to break down the limitations of representational art.
The internationally renown exhibition "The Journey to Tunisia. Klee, Macke, Moilliet" is still on show until June 22, 2014. The stay in Tunisia of the painter friends Paul Klee, August Macke and Louis Moilliet in April 2014 lasted just two weeks.
The Staatsgalerie Stuttgart shows until June 29, 2014 in its exhibition "Kandinsky, Klee, Schiele ... Selected Print Portfolios of the Early Twentieth Century" a selection of c. 60 works - among others the four important and extremely rare "Bauhaus Prints: New European Graphic Art" portfolios.
