Lydia Yee, Curator, Barbican Art Gallery

Lydia Yee has been Curator at Barbican Art Gallery since 2007. She has curated a number of large-scale exhibitions, including "Laurie Anderson, Trisha Brown, Ron Arad: Restless" (2010) and "Gordon Matta-Clark: Pioneers of the Downtown Scene" (2011) and has overseen commissions by Cory Arcangel, John Bock, Céleste Boursier-Mougenot, and Robert Kusmirowski, among others for The Curve.

Prior to joining Barbican Art Gallery, Lydia was Senior Curator at The Bronx Museum of the Arts in New York, where she organized numerous exhibitions including "Street Art, Street Life", "Collection Remixed", "One Planet under a Groove" and "Urban Mythologies: The Bronx Represented Since the 1960s". She was the recipient of the Emily Hall Tremaine Exhibition Award in 2006.

Lydia earned her BA at the University of Michigan and MPhil in Art History at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. In 2003, she was the Cassullo Fellow at the Whitney Museum of American Art Independent Study Program.

Catherine Ince, Curator, Barbican Art Gallery

Catherine joined Barbican Art Gallery in 2010 and organised "Future Beauty: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion", a major retrospective of avant-garde fashion from Japan drawn from the Kyoto Costume Institute collection as well as the recent installation "Architecture as Airby Junya Ishigami" in The Curve. 

Prior to joining Barbican Art Gallery Catherine was Acting Director of the British Councils Architecture, Design and Fashion department where she organised touring exhibitions, commissions and special projects about contemporary British design and architecture. As Assistant and Co-Commissioner, Catherine was responsible for the British Pavilion exhibitions at the 2006 and 2008 Venice Biennale of Architecture. Previously, Catherine was curator of Contemporary Programmes at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Catherine studied art and design history before completing the Kingston University MA in Curating Contemporary Design.
